The 1931 transatlantic yacht race started from the Brenton Reef Lightship, moored near to the entrance to Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island, south of Beavertail Point. The yacht shown here is similar to the style of the times and to the yacht that crossed the finish line at Plymouth, England,  in first place, back in 1931.
